Abstract: The urgency of the discussed issue: Dynamic loads occur whenlump coal passes the linear sections rollers of the belt conveyor and have a destructive effect on the belt, leading to its failure. The main aim of the study: To justify the possibility of reducing the dynamic loads on the belt when transporting coarse coal due to natural segregation. The methods used in the study: The experimental study of the process of bulk cargo segregation on the conveyor belt was carried out in production conditions. The results: Low impact of natural segregation on increasingthe conveyor belts service life is revealed.
