Abstract: The transshipment system (PS) in the quarries is a link between the assembly and trunk transport. Experts of the Ural State Mining University summed up the operating experience, methods for calculating transshipment points (PP) of open pit conveyor transport and prepared a series of articles aimed at familiarizing design and engineering organizations with guidelines on improving conveyor systems and cyclical flow technology in open pits. In the complexes of conveyors, various technical solutions of transshipment points are applied. They are performed: in the form of fixed or portable devices with a different profile of the working surface; with gravitational or forced movement of the rock mass; stationary, movable and self-propelled type. The article discusses the stationary transshipment points with the gravitational movement of the rock mass on the working body. The analysis of known structures of the substation was carried out, studies were carried out and a rational section of the trough was identified according to the criterion of the minimum material consumption, a rational profile slope trajectory along the height was determined, and a method for calculating the parameters was given.
