Abstract: The urgency of the discussed issue. Integrated assessment of the technical level (quality) of mechanical equipment for open-pit mines is based on the well-known method of non-expert assessment of the mining machine quality, developed under the guidance of G.I. Solod. The method, based on the fundamental principles of qualimetry, allows us to assess functionally homogeneous machines of various sizes, types and designs based on the functional criterion of the machine determining its main purpose. Assessment of the technical level of mining machines allows creating the basis for the scientifically-based selection of priority directions for its improvement and for the development of scientifically-based methods for optimizing its design.
The main aim of the study. Integrated assessment of the technical level (quality) of mechanical equipment for open-pit mines for its enhancement and optimization of the parameters of mining machines.
The methods used in the study. Methods of mathematical modeling, data collection and processing, statistics, analysis and synthesis are used.
The results. The developed method of integrated assessment makes it possible to predict the technical level and the values of the basic parameters for the designed machines, as well as to manage the quality of the machine at all stages of its life cycle – design, manufacture, operation.

Key words: open-pit mining mechanical equipment for open-pit mines technical level and quality of machines methodology and integrated quality assessment
