Abstract: The article provides an overview of surface hardening methods to increase the hardness and wear resistance of fast-wearing parts. Based on this overview and on the studies of mechanical properties and the metallographic analysis of the structure of an imported part, namely, the axis of a P&H 2800 XPC mining excavator with a load capacity of 80 tons, the technological process algorithm for the restoration of fast-wearing parts of a mining excavator has been compiled. The aim of the work is to obtain technology for the process of restoration and hardening of fast-wearing parts of mining machines and equipment with mechanical properties identical to those of a foreign part.
