Abstract: The set of tasks for designing open-pit developments includes: economic justification of the field, determining the optimal parameters of productivity and mode of mining operations of the quarry, choosing the opening scheme and equipment that meets the specified conditions, taking into account all technological stages. To improve the efficiency of the associated mining and transport equipment, its individual types and specific conditions, it is necessary to set the optimal parameters. An important parameter when choosing dump trucks for transporting rock mass on intra-barrier and trunk transport is the coefficient of rational load capacity of technological transport of quarries. In order to establish a rational value of the utilization coefficient of the load capacity of quarry dump trucks depending on the temperature regime of motor-wheel reducers, we developed a model using Visual Basic 6.0 programming tools. A relationship was established between the minimum unit cost and the coefficient of utilization of the load capacity in different operating conditions, described by the second-order equation.
