Abstract: Transportation of rock mass is an important technological process in the open-pit mining. Rock mass transporting is mainly carried out by dump trucks. The efficiency of the mining company depends on the reliability of the dump trucks. In the Arctic region of Russia, BelAZ-7540 dump trucks are widely used in placer deposit development. The reliability of these dump trucks is poorly studied in scientific and technical literature, in particular, the influence of seasonal organization of mining works. Operation of dump trucks on placer deposits in the Arctic region of Russia has negative factors such as a large distance from industrial and energy centers, lack of year-round traffic, low climate temperatures and seasonal organization of mining operations. In connection with the above, the purpose of the research is to determine the factors that limit the reliability of BelAZ-7540 dump trucks on placer deposits in the Arctic region of Russia. Statistical and analytical methods of analysis were used to study the reliability of BelAZ-7540 dump trucks. As a result of statistical failure data processing, it was found that the factors limiting the reliability of dump trucks are seasonal organization of mine transport operation, and abrasion of trucks chassis components.
