Abstract: The article presents the analysis of mining and geological factors affecting the technical condition of the drives of mine belt conveyors. The reasons of violation of alignment of shafts of a reducer and the driving electric motor in the course of operation are shown. The method of determining the soil areas of mine workings prone to geodynamic manifestations, where it is impractical to place the drive stations of the belt conveyor.
