Abstract: the article presents the developed structure of the self-contained dump truck control system. The working conditions were highlighted and the scope of application of the unmanned quarry dump truck was determined. The differences of the pit dump truck control system from the traditional heavy duty dump truck control system are presented. The general layout of the control structure of the self-contained quarry dump truck with the highlighted main elements and devices of the control system was analyzed. Structural units of the control system have been analyzed with indication of their technical characteristics. The main disadvantages and features of the control system of existing dump trucks are highlighted. The main scientific and technical problems were formulated, the solution of which would allow the development of a new level of self-contained quarry dump truck control system. Presented, developed by the authors, is a general structure of a multilevel control system of a self-contained quarry dump truck with a detailed description of the upper, middle and lower level control system. The conclusion was formulated on the need to develop mathematical models and algo-rhythms of control systems of a self-contained quarry dump truck. The directions of further research and development work are highlighted, the main of which are: development of equipment requirements and formation of a list of devices for providing autonomous control of a quarry dump truck, as well as development of the necessary software for interaction of the subsystems of the self-contained quarry dump truck control system, both among themselves and in the "Smart quarry" system.
