Abstract: The article substantiates the type of transmission for autonomous mining dump trucks with a load capacity of up to 90 tons. The conclusion of the relevance of the development of quarry dump trucks is made. The advantages and disadvantages of each type of transmission of mining dump trucks are given. The characteristics of transmissions of existing mining dump trucks are considered. For the analysis, estimates of the ranges of transmission characteristics of existing dump trucks are accepted. For comparison, the estimates corresponding to each dump truck were summed up. The obtained values are represented graphically by a linear diagram with accumulation. As a result of the analysis, it was found that at a higher cost of an electromechanical transmission compared to a hydro-mechanical one, the electromechanical one wins in terms of such parameters as max torque, time for routine repairs and downtime. It is established that the electromechanical transmission is preferred in the development of autonomous mining dump trucks with a load capacity of up to 90 tons.
