Abstract: An analysis of repair and maintenance processes for all types of mining equipment used at mining companies revealed that these processes are carried out according to different standards, typically in accordance with established norms and the individual experience of managers and specialists. A study of the methodological framework aimed at improving the operational reliability of mining equipment revealed that a large number of methods have been developed that can significantly improve the organization of equipment repair and maintenance. However, these methods are specific and, in their current form, are directly applicable only to certain types of mining equipment. Using the existing methodological framework and the results of an analysis of long-term practice at several domestic mining companies, the authors of this article standardized indicators reflecting the quality of repair and maintenance organization for all types of equipment used at mining companies. The existence of standardized indicators allows for the establishment of uniform requirements for the level of repair and maintenance organization for all departments that influence the quality of this process, within an enterprise and a company. Uniform requirements for the level of organization of mining equipment repair and maintenance make it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses of all departments, adapt successful solutions to uniform criteria, and develop and evolve a standard for this process based on changing environments and company goals. The development and testing of uniform repair and maintenance quality indicators for all types of mining equipment has demonstrated that the effectiveness of this process is influenced not only by the departments performing technical maintenance and repairs, but also by the departments managing the equipment's operation. Therefore, to improve the quality of mining equipment repair and maintenance, it is important to ensure the involvement of not only the departments performing repair and maintenance, but also the departments managing the equipment's operation, in efforts to improve the effectiveness of this process.
