Abstract: The results of the application of modern methods of non-destructive testing (visual-instrumental, vibration diagnostics) of the technical condition of mining machinery and equipment (excavators, loaders) are presented. Methodological approaches are substantiated: informational and technical for solving the problems of timely diagnostics of components and assemblies of mining machinery and equipment. The advantages of using periodic and continuous diagnostics of mining machinery and equipment are presented, which make it possible to select a set of diagnostic parameters that provide complete information about the unit's operability. It is shown that the diagnosis of the mechanism and node is carried out using specially developed methods, including a set of diagnostic parameters, quantitative indicators, the sequence of diagnosis, and the diagnostic tools used. A number of main tasks are given, the solution of which makes it possible to accurately and timely detect and assess the magnitude of damage and predict the condition of the node, the location of damage, eliminate unjustified dismantling and disassembly of mechanisms, ensure the full life of equipment elements, assess the completeness and quality of repair work, improve the safety of operational and repair personnel when operation of mining machinery and equipment. The results of a survey of the technical condition of mining equipment of one of the mining enterprises are presented, which showed that most of it is in a pre-emergency condition. The directions for applying a preventive approach are proposed: continuous technical monitoring using special sensors and training of the company's diagnostic service personnel in modern diagnostic methods will minimize the risks of mining machinery and equipment going into downtime due to its failure, optimize repair costs and increase personnel safety during complex installation work-dismantling, assembly and disassembly operations.
