Abstract: This article presents the results of an analysis of emergency, process, and operational downtime for Sandvik, Atlas Copco, and Zega drilling rigs operating at the Taldinsky coal mine of Kuzbassrazrezugol. The analysis of statistical data on drilling equipment failure parameters allowed us to formulate proposals for improving its maintenance parameters, aimed at optimizing the current repair system and reducing the share of unproductive downtime for drilling equipment, which significantly impacts coal production costs in Kuzbass. The aim of this research is to identify and classify all basic defects common to various types of drilling rigs by cause and severity. To conduct a comparative analysis of unproductive downtime of drilling equipment and identify ways to minimize it. To demonstrate the advantages of practical vibration analysis, the results of which can be used to reduce the incidence of emergency downtime. In the framework of this research, methods of statistical analysis and vibration diagnostics were used, as well as methods of optimal scalarization of initial data and adaptive forecasting of degradation processes of technical systems. An analysis of diesel-hydraulic drilling rig failures has revealed an innovative solution to the growing problem of drilling equipment downtime based on comprehensive vibration monitoring and the application of standard diagnostic criteria. The research 's findings may be useful for predicting the trouble-free operation of drilling rigs and optimizing mining equipment repair management systems.
