The journal has a rich history dating back to 2000, when the journal "Mining Machines and Automatics" was created. Since 2005, the journal has been published under the name familiar to you. All subsequent years, the journal was published by the publishing house "New Technologies". From the second half of 2018, a decision was made to transfer the publication of the journal to the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Kuzbass State Technical University named after T.F. Gorbachev" in connection with the implementation of the University's mission - strengthening and developing the human potential of the leading coal region of Russia based on the consolidation of the university's resources and capabilities with key enterprises of the region in educational, scientific, innovative and international activities. Our goal is to familiarize the modern Russian engineering community with the latest achievements in the field of design and operation of mining equipment. The development of modern mining equipment is at the forefront of innovative modernization of the mineral resource complex of Russia. Innovative technologies generated by developers of modern mining machines and complexes determine the global competitiveness of the mining sector of the Russian industry. The tasks set by the editors are to maintain the high quality and scientific level of publications in the journal, which have become traditional factors in attracting the interest of the scientific and engineering mining community to the journal; expanding the circle of authors of articles by attracting practitioners, experts in the field of development, production and operation of mining equipment; involving leading representatives of the international scientific community in discussions on the problems of mining equipment development; increasing the scientific citation rates of the journal and increasing the authority of the journal in the scientific and industrial environment. We invite engineers, researchers, teachers of universities with a mineral resource profile, postgraduate students and young scientists to publish in the journal! All interested parties are also invited to cooperate.
Editor-in-chief, Director of the Mining Institute of KuzSTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Aleksey Alekseevich Khoreshok
Journal of Mining equipment and electromechanics is a scientific Journal, publishing the articles which reflect original research in the field of mechanical engineering and engineering science, mining engineering, electrical engineering made by scientific and academic staff, PhD students, candidates and postgraduate students from Russian and foreign universities.
The editorial board of "Mining Equipment and Electromechanics" does not charge authors for the preparation, placement and printing of materials.
In 2023, the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation categorized scientific journals from the List of the Higher Attestation Commission into categories K1, K2, K3. https://vak.minobrnauki.gov.ru/documents#tab=_tab:editions~
